- Gloria V. Barkley, a Vancouver resident since 1949, died at her home Sunday, Feb. 19, 1995, of heart problems and emphysema. She was 71.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9901 S.E. Caruthers, Portland. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver.
Mrs. Barkley, a homemaker, was born Jan. 11, 1924, in Milwaukee, Wis.
Her husband, James, died in 1978.
Survivors include three daughters, Denise A. Eck of Allentown, Pa., Stephanie L. Marias of Portland and Kammy J. Barkley of Vancouver; two sons, Craig M. of Portland and Robert L. of Sparks, Nev.; one brother, Edmund G. Mayville Jr. of Buena Park, Calif.; one sister, Gertrude I. Schultz of Portland; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
