- Stephanie Agnes DeMilt, a long time resident of St. Clair Shores, died late Saturday evening in St.John Hospital, Detroit. She was 95 years of age.
Stephanie was born in Poland on February 28, 1911, a daughter of the late Walter and Fofia (Wrobel) Pazdan. She came to this country on February 14, 1913 and the family settled in Detroit on April 18, 1913. Sally was united in marriage to her late husband, Joseph DeMilt in Hamtramck where they made their home until building their own home in St.Clair Shores in 1942. Sally was a great cook and always wanted to fill everyone with her great dishes. She was a spunky and stubborn and giving person who would never say no. She loved her family and will be deeply missed by many.
Sally is survived by her loving daughter, Joanne Barthlow; her devoted grandchildren,Larry (Joy) Barthlow, Mary (Bill) Bieber, Jon (Colleen) Barthlow, Bryan Barthlow, Joseph Freismuth and Tim (Tanya) Barthlow; her 11 great grandchildren and sister Bernice Swiatkowski. She was preceded in death by her loving jusband, Joseph in 1974 and daughter Diane Freismuth in 1994 and by siblings, Josephine Rekar, Catherine Malarick and Mary Harbuz
Visitation will be held at the Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home, 32814 Utica Rd., Fraser, Tuesday, 1pm till 9pm with a rosary service at 7pm. and Wednesday from 9am till time of funeral services at 11am. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Twp. Share memories with the family at www.faulmannwalsh.com.
