- Mrs. Mathias Diedrich, age 75 for many years a resident of the Tony vicinity, died at the home of her son, Arnold in Chippewa Falls, Friday. Deceased suffered a paralytic stroke in April and was in poor health from that date to the time of her death. Mathilda Wiedenhoft was born at Reedsville, Feb. 18th 1866 and in Sept. 1888 was married to Mathias Diedrich. They made their home at De Pere until 1903 when they moved to a farm north of Tony. Survivors include the husband, four sons, Arnold of Chippewa Falls, Arthur of Ladysmith, Alfred of Tony, and Ralph of Milwaukee; two sisters Mrs. Mary Thiele and Mrs. Lena Pautz of West De Pere and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Tony on Monday forenoon, with Fr. Phillip officiating, Burial was made in Tony Catholic Cemetery.
