A funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2007, in All Saints Catholic Church in Portland for Russell Alby Fox, who died June 15 of an aortic aneurysm at age 80.
Mr. Fox was born Nov. 27, 1926, in Washta, Ioa, and moved to Boring in the early 1940s. He graduated from Sandy High School. During World War II, he served in the Navy in the Pacific. After the war, he lived in Portland, LaGrande and Enterprise, where he was an underwriter for Prudential Insurance. In 1946, he married Ruth Diederich.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Maryl Fox-Smith and Lisa L. Fox; son, Craig R.; sister, Jane; brothers, Dale and Roger; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
