Kevin James Stewart, age 27, of Ypsilanti, MI, formerly of Belleville, MI, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at his home. He was born September 26, 1987 in Wayne, MI, son of Scott Lynn Stewart and Kathleen Mary (Cavill) Stewart.
Kevin enjoyed playing Little League softball in his youth. He graduated Belleville High School in 2005 and attended college for a short time. He enjoyed playing pool, riding motorcycles and camping. He was a social person who loved to be around people.
Kevin is survived by his one year old son, Anthony James Stewart of Ypsilanti, MI, mother Kathleen Stewart of Romulus, MI, father Scott L. Stewart of Kingston, TN, grandmother Anna Marie Cavill of Belleville, brother Brian Stewart of Westland, MI, nephew Scott Stewart, three nieces Lily Peters, Maci Stewart and Kayla Stewart, also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfathers, also a sister Kristen Marie Stewart.
The family has set up a Go Fund Me account at gofundme.com under Support Fund for Kevin Stewart's funeral. They are in the process of setting up an account at TCF Bank to help with expenses as well as to help support his one year old, Anthony.
Visitation will be 9-11 AM Friday, March 20, 2015 at David C. Brown Funeral Home, 460 E. Huron River Dr., Belleville, MI 48111 (734)697-4500 with an 11:00 AM Funeral. Pastor John Burke will officiate. A benefit luncheon will be held immediately following the service at Van Buren Eagles Club, 9961 Beck Road, Belleville, MI.
