Wakefield '96 Mrs. Herbert Meldrum, 87, Marenisco, died at Divine Infant Hospital Sunday night. She had been a patient there since April 10.
The former Martha Marie Zimmel was born Feb. 5, 1880 in Dodge County, Wis., and had resided at Marenisco 40 years. She was married Aug. 26, 1906 at Gladstone to Herbert Meldrum. He died Feb. 22, 1946.
Mrs. Meldrum was a member of the Marenisco Presbyterian Church.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. J. W. Young of Iron Mountain.
A son, Virgil, died in January 1954.
Lakeside Memorial Chapel will be open for visitation beginning at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Marenisco Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Garth Gee of Manitowish Waters, Wis., officiating. Burial will be in the Marenisco Cemetery.
The remains will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. Thursday.

Wakefield '96 Funeral services for Mrs. Herbert Meldrum, 87, Marenisco, were held Thursday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church in Marenisco, with the Rev. Garth Gee of Manitowish Waters officiating. Burial was in the Marenisco Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Erickson, Thomas Gerovac, Richard Miller, George Mall, Thomas McNicholas and Jack Kulick.
Attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Benz, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Majewski, Jennifer Miller, Edick [sic], Nick and Clara Majewski of Ludington and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Benz of Scottville, Mich.
