      FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Paul M. Klinkhammer, 45, formerly of Racine, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 28, 1996.
      He was born in Racine on June 21, 1951, the son of Phillip H. and the late Faythe R. (nee: Newton) Klinkhammer.
      He served his country with the United States Marine Corps from 1967 until 1970. He then joined the United States Naval Reserve in 1971 and served proudly until 1973.
      Surviving are his daughter, Kristine Klinkhammer; her mother, Sandy Dittman; his father, Deacon Phillip H. Klinkhammer; sister, Susan Studebaker; brothers and sisters-in-law, Stephen and Rita Klinkhammer and Eric and Patricia Klinkhammer, all of Racine; and his very special aunt, Laurel Gehrig of Sturtevant. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Faythe and brother-in-law, Hank Studebaker.
      A Memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, January 5, 1997, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jeffrey M. Thielen officiating. Private burial will take place in Southeast Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to meet with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of services. Memorials have been suggested to the Marine League Toys for Tots.
