- John Louis Belanger was the only child of John Victor Belanger and Lucille E. Desmarais. He was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Feb. 15, 1924. As a tragic result of this birth his mother fell prey to what is now known as post-partem depression. Without modern treatments and medications Lucille was assumed to have simply lost her mind and was assigned the the Racine County Insane Assylum where she stayed (off and on) until she died of an eppileptic seizure in 1962. Her husband never remarried. John Louis joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1942 and served in WW2 in the Pacific theater on Midway Island. He achieved the rank of Sargeant and was later recommened and approved for Officer training. He didn't pursue this however. After being honorably discharged he returned to Wisconsin and shortly thereafter his father died as the result of a gas leak in their home. John Louis married Susan Spidle in 1946 and they bore a daughter, Pamela E. Belanger in XXX. They divorced in 19XX. He then moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where he met and married Charlotte May Kaper of Lockland, Ohio. They bore 3 children; John Victor (named after his deceased father) in 1955, Charlotte Elaine in 1957 and Jill Loraine in 1959. He died on July 19, 1992 in a hospital in Waukegan, Illinois after being transferred there from the Milwaukee Veterans hospital from complications of diabetes after surgery to remove both legs below the knees. During his life in Ohio he became a very good salesman for a variety of goods and services. He wrote and published a book called "The Salesman's Ten Commandments." He was a devout Catholic and raised his children in the faith through parochial schools.
