- Walter D. "Wally" Balenger 44 of Gladstone, Michigan, died January 18, 2005, at home.
Walter Balenger was born September 27, 1960, in Escanaba the son of Harry and Josephine (Moreau) Balenger and was a graduate of the Gladstone High School. Wally was a veteran of the U.S. Marines having served from 1980 to 1983. He enjoyed bow and rifle hunting at Bovin's Camp and his last year of deer hunting he shot a 6 pt. in the morning and an 8 pt. 3 hours later.He also raised wolfs as a hobby for about 7 years with his favorite being "Lobo". Most receintly he had been employed by the Mead Corp. as a security guard.
