- JofenR. Frantz John R. Frantz. 71. of Port Matilda RD 2, was dead on arrival at Philipsburg State Hospital on Monday. April 11. 1983 at 4:50 p.m. He was born Aug. 14,1911 at Worth Township, Centre County, the son of Wilson G. and Lucy Adams Frantz. On July 6, 1932 at Bellefonte. he was married to Isabell Fink. He is survived by his wife, one son and one daughter. Harold E. Frantz, of Port Matilda, and Mrs. Joseph (Lucretia) Rozgay.of Renovo, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two sisters and one brother. Mrs. Belva Ration and Mrs. Leora Warrender, both of Tyrone. and Taft Frantz, of Port Ma;nda, and two half-sisters and one half-brother, Mrs. Esther Moore, of Port Matilda, and Mrs. Edith Laird, of Huntingdon, and Ciair Cowher, of Howard. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one half-sister. He was a member of the Black Oak United Methodist Church and retired in 1973 as a construction worker in the State College area following 26 ; ears of service. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, with the Rev. Michael R. Blouse officiating. Interment will be at Black Oak Cemetery, Port Matilda RD. Friends will be received at the memorial home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
