- Esther A. Polly Schenck, 54, of Reese Hollow, R.D. 2, Box 583, Port Matilda, died Monday, September 27, 1993 at 1 a.m. at her residence following an extended illness. She was born Nov. 13,1938, in Port Matilda, R.D. 2, the daughter of Frederick A. and Esther D. (Cowher) Moore. She was married to William Don Schrenck on June 18, 1961, in the Black Oak Church, Port Matilda, R.D. 2. She is survived by her husband of Port Matilda, R.D. 2, a stepdaughter, Holly Shuey, of Howard R.D. 2, a sister, Rosalie Fasick, Port Matilda R.D. 1, and five brothers: Dean Jim Moore, Tyrone; Robert P. Moore, State College; Oscar E. Moore and George L. Moore, both of Port Matilda R.D. 2, and J. Alyin of Roseburg OR. Also surviving is her mother, of Port Matilda, R.D. 2. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas and Jacob. She graduated in 1956 from Port Matilda High School. She retired in 1989 as a secretary in the Purchaser's Office of the Applied Research Laboratory of Penn State University after 33 years of service. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1993 at 11 a.m. at the Black Oak United Methodist Church, Port Matilda, R.D. 2, with the Rev. Thomas J. Fetterolf officiating. Interment will follow at Black Oak Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Feller Memorial Home, Tyrone, from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. today and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1001 University Drive, State College, PA 16801.
