Passed away quietly on January 19. Dottie was born into a large 'farm family' on Oct. 12, 1922 in West dePere, Wisconsin. After high school she went to Bellin Nursing School in Green Bay. Upon graduation she enlisted in the Army and made a career in what became the U.S. AirForce. When the war ended she helped open military hospitals in many countries including England, Germany, Japan, Iceland, the Philippines and the United States. She retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.
After retirement, travel, golf and trips to the local casinos became a mainstay of her free time, along with her long time friend Helen Bruno. A final salute to Lt. Col. Dorothy Jane Cavil who served her country well.
