Clarence J. Daul, 96, De Pere, formerly of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Rennes Health Center in De Pere. He was born August 2, 1916 to the late Joseph and Tracy (Hoeykens) Daul in De Pere. Clarence graduated from De Pere High School in 1937 and served in the U.S. Army during WWII from August 1942 to November 1945. He married Olivia Seitzer on November 22, 1942, and she preceded him in death in 2009. He retired from American Can (now Georgia-Pacific) in 1981.
Clarence enjoyed playing sports in high school, bowling leagues, playing cards, fishing, traveling with family and friends, especially at Ada Lake.
Clarence is survived by his brother, Edward, Olivia's family: Louise Bussen, St. Cloud, MN, Viola and Felix Destache, De Pere, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph in 1926, mother, Tracy in 1992, wife, Olivia in 2009, brothers, sisters and spouses: Louis and Harriet Daul, Bernice Daul, Bernadine and Ted Van Den Busch, Audrey Daul, Daniel Daul, an infant sister, Serafine, at birth and several nephews.
Family and friends may call Thursday, October 18, from 10-11am at Cotter Funeral Home, 860 N Webster Ave, De Pere. A service of remembrance will be held at 11am at the funeral home with Sister Helen Keyzer, ANG, officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cotterfuneralhome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Philip Catholic Church.
